Meet Ruffin’ Around Pet Care

Ruffin’ Around Pet Care LLC is a home-based dog care business. Taylor has been working in dog care and boarding for well over a decade. She’s certified in veterinary assisting, pet First Aid and CPR, and dog language and behavior. She is the proud mom of two Retrievers, Maple and Abby, and a young, two-legged son, Noah. She and her husband, Zac, own a home in their hometown of Prior Lake. Zac is a registered nurse and Taylor is a certified organizational consultant. Collectively as a family they provide dog lodging, daycare, and enrichment with Ruffin’ Around Pet Care LLC and invite dog guests to learn, stay, and play with their family! The Right Fit? Each and every owner believes they have the best dog or the best breed, and we agree! Every dog is amazing and unique, which means not all services are the best fit for your sweetheart.

Ruffin’ Around Pet Care LLC offers lodging for dogs that want to plug into our family, while theirs is away! We offer a hybrid approach to daycare. Our daycare includes walks, hikes, field trips, one-on-one times, and small pack play. Guests are required to be fully potty trained, fixed (if less than 1-year), and well socialized with kids and other dogs. Unsure? No worries! All daycare dogs must complete a Meet and Greet. This is a complimentary, 20-minute visit at our home. We will properly introduce our dogs and home. We love getting to know dogs and finding them a great fit for lodging when their family is away and/or daycare to enrich their lives!

  Where do I start?...Ruffin Around Pet Care has been a HUGE blessing to my husband, myself and our pup! My husband and I are empty-nesters nearing that 60ish age and we thought; "Let's get a puppy! It'll be fun!"  Yes, fun but, oh so much work - we're exhausted from our high-energy Sheepadoodle; Tuile. Then Taylor announces she's opening a pet care business two door down!!!!!  Well, let's just say Tuile has been, I think, their most frequent guest and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the Watermolen family. Taylor, Zach (husband), Noah (son), Abby & Maple (resident pups) have showed Tuile beyond love and care! Her training is reinforced and she is always learning new things to show-off to us when she comes home. Anyhoo, I can't say enough wonderful things about RAPC - rest assured your pups will be treasured while they hang out at the Watermolen Patch!!!

  With an 8 month old pup socializing is extremely important. In the few weeks since Rubix has been in Taylor's care, there has been a noticeable difference in the way he handles himself around other dogs. He seems more confident and able to meet new dogs regardless of size, age, or the other dogs demeanor. He has matured quite a bit in such a little time.
